Genelia denies doing Masti sequel

But D’Souza posted, what seemed like an agitated message, on the microblogging site Twitter. “For all of those asking me if I’m doing Masti 2, NO I’m not doing it, nor have I been offered it,” says the actor, who was part of the original film along with Vivek Oberoi, Ajay Devgn, Aftab Shivdasani, Lara Dutta and Amrita Rao.

However, this news comes soon after producer Ashok Thakeria had hinted at casting the couple in Indra Kumar’s sequel. He had reportedly said, “Yes, we are going ahead with the Masti sequel. And the cast will remain largely unchanged, including Riteish and Genelia.”

Though the script is still being worked upon, he did say that they were looking at shooting within the next six months.
