Golmaal Again grosses Rs 126.59 crore worldwide, Secret Superstar collects Rs 54.58 crore

While Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again earned Rs 103.64 crore at domestic ticket windows, it collected Rs 22.95 crore in overseas markets. Secret Superstar grossed Rs 20.22 crore in overseas markets and Rs 34.36 crore at the domestic box office.

Rohit Shetty’s fourth film in his hit franchise Golmaal, Golmaal Again, has garnered Rs 126.59 crore worldwide in the first four days of its release, the makers have claimed. While Ajay Devgn-starrer Golmaal Again earned Rs 103.64 crore at domestic ticket windows, it collected Rs 22.95 crore in overseas markets till Monday. Secret Superstar, that hit theatres a day before Golmaal Again, has grossed a total of Rs 54.58 crore worldwide.

Director Rohit Shetty said, “I am overjoyed that Golmaal Again has broken records along with spreading happiness, cheer and smiles during this Diwali. I am thankful to the audience for the success and the love they have shown to the Golmaal series.”

The movie released on October 20, a day after Diwali. Golmaal Again features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tabu. The film is presented by Reliance Entertainment in association with Mangalmurti Films and Rohit Shetty banner.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer Secret Superstar has minted Rs 20.22 crore from the overseas market since its release on Thursday, October 19. Directed by debutante Advait Chauhan, the film earned Rs 34.36 crore at the domestic ticket windows.

Zaira, who turned 17 on Monday, is overwhelmed with all the positive response coming her way for her second film: “I am really glad and overwhelmed. I am feeling very lucky and blessed... I think I am receiving more messages now than I received after Dangal. Everyone I know has appreciated the film and my work, it is an amazing feeling.”
