People are known to be diplomatic in Bollywood and politics. But you are known for your candid remarks...
Very few people can be diplomatic, everybody can’t be Amitabh Bachchan. I generally I call a spade a spade and I am either famous or infamous for that. I don’t mince words, that is my USP.

You’ve carved a niche for yourself in Bollywood as well as politics. Which is closer to you?
It’s difficult to say that. Films have glamour and nothing else. Politics gives you power which gives you unlimited glamour. Films have glamour and comfort but politics require commitment and struggle. Cinema was my profession but politics is my mission.

You seem to have buried your differences with Amitabh Bachchan. How did that happen?
We are old friends. Everybody drifts and has differences. Jawaani ka josh and stardom ka takaza hota hai. If you ask me today, I only have love and admiration for him. He is the only man in the entire country who I think is damdaar, shandaar and bejodh.

I’d actually like to work with Sonakshi but please recommend me to her (laughs).
