Acting has been actor Parvin Dabas’ prowess since his college days, thanks to the dramatics society of Hans Raj College, one of the three front runners to win the title of the Coolest College on Campus as part of HT City-Fever 104 Campus Ka Mahayuddh, of which he was an active member.

A 1994 batch graduate of History Hons, the 39-year-old actor not only takes pride in his college, but is also all praise for its principal, Dr VK Kawatra. “Hans Raj is the coolest college, be it the alumni such as Shah Rukh Khan and Anurag Kashyap, or its cool-headed faculty,” he says.

Remembering his college days, he says, “Those days were amazing. Though I devoted most of my time to basketball and dramatics, studying in Delhi University gave me a different high!”

So how was the college different from what it is today?
“Dr Kawatra has brought the cool factor to the college. It’s not that we were not allowed to take part in co-curricular activities at that time, but today, students are motivated by the faculty for their all-round development,” he says, adding that the canteen was good at that time, but today, the college has seen a great change. “I wish I was a part of Hans Raj today,” says Dabas, who last visited the college a year ago to judge a street play competition.
