Salman had invited Imran to watch his film on Sunday, but since he was promoting his own film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan on X Factor, he couldn’t make it. Upset about missing it, the actor plans to watch it tomorrow now.

“Imran is making sure that all his friends accompany him for the movie and his near and dear ones too spread a good word about it. He has changed his status on his Blackberry too – ‘please watch Bodyguard’. And even though his own film is nearing release, he has constantly been speaking about Bodyguard in his interviews,” says a source close to Imran.

The actor, on his part, plays it down. “Salmanbhai has been very supportive. He has always come for my trial screenings and given me tips. He is very close to Aamir mamu (uncle) too. His entire family has been good to me and I will do whatever I can for his film.”

Salman, in the past, has always encouraged Imran. Even after Delhi Belly released, the Dabangg actor went to meet and congratulate him.

Sources close to Imran claim that the actor himself is in great awe of Salman, as he has been watching his films since he was five or six years old.

Apparently, Imran was surprised to hear that Salman was leaving the country this close to the film’s release. Personally, he is very excited about it as he feels Salman and action go hand in hand.

As for his own film, Imran apparently feels that there’s still about 10 days to for the release of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and till then, he is happy to help Bodyguard in whatever way he can.
