Bipasha Basu, Karan Singh Grover’s wedding today to be a private affair
It is Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s big day today as they get ready to say the vows. Their low-key marriage will be held according to Bengali rituals and will be followed by a dinner for close friends and family.
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover will say their vows on Saturday but unlike the big Bollywood wedding we were all expecting, it will be a private affair meant only for family and close friends.
The day started for the couple with a haldi ceremony. In the evening, the couple will wed according to Bengali rituals at a south Mumbai hotel. It will be followed by a dinner.

The mehendi and sangeet ceremony on Friday was a fun affair with friends like actors Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, Sophie Choudry, fashion designer Rocky S and fitness expert Deanne Panday partying with the happy couple. While Thursday was family time with briddhi -- a pooja held according to Bengali rituals, Friday saw friends and family dancing and enjoying.
Bipasha looked like a million dollars in a sequinned pale gold choli and a pink lehenga on Friday. She accessorised her look with jewellery as well as phool gehena. She wore a tiara and bajooband made of flowers. Karan was seen in an angrakha kurta pyjama.
Both Bipasha and groom-to-be Karan earlier took to Instagram to share pictures of briddhi, a pre-wedding pooja done according to Bengali rituals, on Thursday.
Dressed in a pink saree with kundan jewellery, Bipasha looked very much the radiant bride as she posed for the camera with Karan and friends and family during the pre-wedding pooja. Karan, wearing a white kurta, complemented her look. The duo are either making funny faces or laughing uproariously in the images, that’s when they are not looking dreamily into each other’s eyes. Even their gifts came with monkey motifs!
And as promised by their wedding invite, Instagram updates and hashtags, it is a #MonkeyWedding.
Even as selfies were being clicked, Bipasha’s father focussed on the pooja, according to this picture posted by the actor’s sister.
