It’s not a porn film: Randeep Hooda

Says Randeep Hooda about Sahib Biwi aur Gangster.

Actor Randeep Hooda, who made his debut in Bollywood with Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding in 2001, is excited about his upcoming film, Sahib Biwi aur Gangster. The film has been in news for his steamy scenes with co-star Mahie Gill, but the actor doesn’t think it’s a big deal.

“I think a lot has been made about these scenes. As we are dealing with extramarital affairs in the film, these scenes are as per the need of the subject. They are not pornographic and are extension of emotions. Moreover, they are not there to titillate anyone,” he says.

In the movie, Hooda, 35, plays the role of a gangster, who falls in love with Biwi (Gill). “I play the character of an innocent man, Babloo, who later becomes a gangster. He falls in love with a gangster’s wife and can do anything for her. I can define him as gangster of love,” he says.

The actor, however, remains tight-lipped about his girlfriend Neetu Chandra. “I don’t want to talk about my personal life at all,” he says.

On reality TV
I don’t see myself doing reality television. I believe that my personal life is not for sharing with the public. Therefore, I am not comfortable being part of shows like Bigg Boss.

On Delhi
Having studied in DPS RK Puram, I have great memories of Delhi, as it is home. I love the food and the wide roads here. Being a jatt, it’s great to have north Indian food whenever I visit the city.
