Ittefaq celeb review: Bollywood applauds Sidhartha Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha’s taut thriller

Ittefaq received a glowing review from Bollywood after a special screening of Sidharth Malhotra-Sonakshi Sinha-Akshaye Khanna-starrer Ittefaq was held in Mumbai. Deepika Padukone, Ayushmann Khuranna and Katrina Kaif, among others, were in attendance

A special screening of Sidharth Malhotra-Sonakshi Sinha-Akshaye Khanna-starrer Ittefaq was held in Mumbai and Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Ayushmann Khuranna and Katrina Kaif, among others, were in attendance. The stars have loved the film and took to Twitter to rave about the film.

Ittefaq has got thumbs up from Bollywood. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna.

Directed by Abhay Chopra, Ittefaq is a remake of the 1969 Rajesh Khanna-Nanda-starrer that is considered one of the best films made by Yash Chopra in his early days. Abhay’s grandad BR Chopra directed the original.

Dev (Akshaye), a police officer, is investigating a double murder case that has only two witnesses, who are also the prime suspects. The suspects - Vikram (Sidharth Malhotra), an acclaimed writer, and Maya (Sonakshi Sinha), a young homemaker, have different narratives about the events of that fateful night. Both the stories appear to be true but there can be only one truth.

Actor Ayushmann Khuranna claimed he could not guess the murderer till the end. “Watched #Ittefaq & I couldn’t guess the murderer till the end. Great stuff @S1dharthM @sonakshisinha Akshaye khanna. Proud of Abhay & juno,” he wrote.

Filmmaker Ashwini Iyer Tiwari tweeted, “Get on 2 the edge of ur seats wth #Ittefaq when u feel something is abt 2 end.It begins again.Experience the mystery & smile only 2 urself! “

Kriti Sanon also took to Twitter to shower praises: “#Ittefaq is a well made thriller tht keeps u guessing..with a pacy climax! Go watch it guys! @abhayrchopra @S1dharthM @sonakshisinha.”
