Jacqueline not in Murder 3?
After success of Murder 2, actor would like to see a new face in next.
Murder 2 is one of the biggest hits of 2011. Now, all eyes are set on the third film of the franchise, and more importantly, on who will play the female lead opposite Emraan Hashmi. Murder (2004) starred Mallika Sherawat and Murder 2 (2011) saw Jacqueline Fernandez essay the part.
But the makers are yet to confirm the name of the leading lady for Murder 3. However, Jacqueline has hinted that she won’t be part of Murder 3: “Since the female character keeps changing, it’d be refreshing to see a new girl. Now that Murder has become a successful franchise, a new female actor will keep up the hype. On the lines of new Bond girls, it would be like, ‘who’s the next Murder girl?’.”
Even before Murder 3 goes on the floors, the buzz is strong that it might star Mallika Sherawat, Bipasha Basu and Jacqueline together. Ask director Mohit Suri and he laughs: “Not at all. Let us finish the script. Then, we will think about casting female actors. Emraan is confirmed though.” The makers plan to release Murder 3 by the summer of 2012. Shagufta Rafique, who wrote Murder 2, is working on Murder 3 too.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline accepts that she has been receiving a lot of film offers. “I’m not in a hurry,” says the actor, who recently returned from London after shooting for Housefull 2 with Akshay Kumar and John Abraham. “I had a blast. It felt like we had a cool, big party. All the actors are great, especially, seniors like Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, whom I got to work with.”
