Kama Sutra inspires Sunny Leone’s dance moves in Ek Paheli Leela

Actor Sunny Leone will be seen showing off some sultry dance moves in her upcoming film, Ek Paheli Leela. Interestingly, some of these moves have been inspired from the famed ancient scripture, the Kama Sutra.

While Sunny mastered the moves with ease, she says it was choreographer Ahmed Khan’s idea to take the reference from the famous book of love and sex, as the film is set in an era about 300 years ago.

"It was Ahmed’s idea to use the postures into a contemporary dance form. He shot it very gracefully and aesthetically," says Leone. The postures have been used in scenes where emoting love through dance is important.

The team tried more than 100 postures, and eventually shortlisted about 10 to 12, which were then given a modern twist to express the emotion of love. "If you go back in history, the Kama Sutra played an important role in expressing love. I have used a few postures and adapted them into a contemporary dance form," says Ahmed.

Produced by T-Series and Paperdoll Entertainment and directed by Bobby Khan, Ek Paheli Leela is set to release today (April 10).
