Buzz was that Katrina had signed two films down south and charged a fee of Rs 5 crore each. But Katrina, 27, denies these reports. "No one has contacted me or my manager for any of these films," said Katrina, who is currently shooting in Cuba for Yash Raj Films' Ek Tha Tiger opposite Salman Khan.

Buzz was that Katrina had been contacted to play the lead opposite Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan, helmed by Rajini's daughter Soundarya. "Katrina was quite upbeat about the project as the script fascinated her a lot," Soundarya had said a while back.



But latest reports suggest that Deepika Padukone has been finalised for the film. "Guys. Deepika Padukone confirmed to play appa's pair in Kochadaiyaan," Soundarya tweeted recently.

Haasan, too, hinted at Kat playing the lead opposite him in Ulaganayagan, touted to be one of the most expensive films of Kollywood. "Katrina's been approached by the producer as the role suits her perfectly," he said.



In the past, Kat has done many movies down south including Malliswari (2004), Allari Pidugu (2005) and Balram vs Taradas (2006).



Sonam Kapoor is expected to star in Ghajini fame A R Murugadoss's action adventure, Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli. She would be seen romancing South star Vijay in this Tamil film.



Vidya Balan who has this keen desire to work down South is flooded with offers ever since the release of The Dirty Picture. The buzz is strong that she has liked a number of scripts and will soon sign the dotted line.



Deepika Padukone is excited to share the screen space with Rajnikanth for the first time in Raana and also in Kochadaiyaan. She plays the role of a 17th century south Indian lady in Rana, though the project has been stalled for quite some time now because of Rajini's health problems.
