After months of specualtion around troubles in their marriage, Bollywood actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey finally announced their separation. The duo had been married for five years.
and Ranvir, who are parents to four-year-old son Haroon, took to their respective Twitter accounts to announce their split that follows prolonged speculation surrounding the state of their marriage.
"Ranvir and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you," Konkona, 35, posted on Twitter.
Ranvir's statement read, "Konkona and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you." Konkona and Ranvir, 43, started dating in 2007.
The couple got married in 2010 in a private ceremony.
They have starred together in films like Traffic Signal, Mixed Doubles, Aaja Nachle and Gour Hari Daastan.
