Actor Mahie Gill isn’t the one who likes to give frequent interviews but when she does, she is an open book and completely no holds barred. The actor, who was recently seen in a cameo in dacoit drama Phamous, is all set to return to screen in a full-fledged role playing her most loved character, Madhvi Devi in third instalment of filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Saheb Biwi Aur Gansgter franchise.

Actor Mahie Gill will be next seen in filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s directorial project, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.

Asked if being an introvert has ever backfired at her in terms of getting more work, the actor admits that it does affect if one is not seen around often. “But at the same time, I don’t want to be there in the newspapers every day. There are many people who are all over the place but not doing any work and I definitely don’t want to be like that. I am a very shy person. I am not hungry for publicity.”

Mahie asserts that she would want to give interviews only when she is doing something “creative and nice” as it feels nice “to see that you are doing something worthy.”

The actor, who has been a part of films such as Khoya Khoya Chand (2007), Dev D (2008), Dabangg (2010, Paan SinghTomar (2012) among others, further shares that despite so many friends advising her to hire a PR agency; she just doesn’t know how to go about it. “I’m told that you must do it because you need to be in news and people need to know you are there and working. But my problem is that I don’t know what to speak. What should I tell them — that I went for a holiday or I enjoyed shopping? I can’t do that. That’s not my personality,” says Mahie, calling herself “highly confused” and hoping that she “would change with time.”

Unlike many actors who are out there on social media updating fans about their whereabouts and their upcoming projects, Mahie feels she’s a “misfit” there too. “I am not very good in social media things. Mujhe aaj bhi Instagram use karna nahi aata. I’m so bad at all that. I’m not on Twitter and it was only recently that I got that verified blue tick on my Facebook page. But I don’t I don’t know what to write or what to speak. I think that’s not for me. I am a very private person. I like it that way and I want to be out in open when my work is there,” maintains Mahie.
