Men want their daughters to be like me now: Taapsee Pannu
Actor Taapsee Pannu has garnered rave reviews for her performance in Pink from not just women but by men as well.
Actor Taapsee Pannu’s role in her recent release Pink has encouraged a lot of women across the country. But she was surprised, when large number of men approached her telling her, how the story affected their perspectives.
“There have been heartwarming responses not just from women but from men as well. A gentleman mentioned that the first movie that his son will watch after he grows up, will be Pink and another man said, that he would love to have a daughter like me. These have been responses that I will cherish forever,” says Pannu, who played the role of Minal Arora, who fights a molestation case in the film.
The actor, who has been part of films such as Chashme Baddoor(2013) and Baby (2015), was not expecting this at all. “We were actually a little apprehensive, before the release and that is why the makers wanted to project this movie, more like a thriller. We feared that the men won’t watch the movie at all, which has a strong message related to females. But to our surprise, men appreciated it as much as women,” she says.
