Usually known for his intense roles, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared a light-hearted moment with the crew of his upcoming horror film a few days ago.

The actor, who was shooting in a heavily-forested area in Shillong, hid behind a bush and kept making scary sounds every time someone passed by.

“We were shooting near a lake. It was pitch dark and the shot required Nawaz and me to run with the director of photography (DOP) in tow. That’s when Nawaz went
and hid behind a bush and started making scary sounds. Although I had a feeling that Nawaz was up to something, the DOP and the other members of the crew actually got a bit scared. They thought a wild animal was in the area,” says Vishakha Singh, who has been cast opposite Nawaz in Maya Tape.

She adds, “Finally I burst out laughing and told the team that it was Nawaz who was scaring us. That’s when he came out of hiding and we all had a good laugh.” Although Vishakha insists she didn’t get scared, Nawaz claims otherwise, saying, “My prank did scare Vishakha!”
