Ranveer Singh sure knows how to shock and awe. For once, it is not about the actor’s real life fashion choices but the stellar, or was it menacing, role he plays in Padmavati. As the film’s Alauddin Khilji, he of flowing locks and a fierce expressions, he is in direct contrast to the genteel world of Rajputana pride that Deepika Padukone’s Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor’s Maharawal Ratan Singh inhabit.

Padmavati’s trailer, which is director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next magnum opus, has garnered great response on social media. The film’s lead cast of Deepika, Shahid and Ranveer is receiving a lot of praise for their appearance in the film. However, Ranveer stands out with his fierce expressions and get-up.

Here’s how Ranveer Singh amazed us with his looks in the trailer.

Bollywood’s Khal Drogo: Though many believe that Singh has gone overboard with his portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati, all of us would agree that he can terrify even his ardent fans.

The meat eater: All he needs are his hands. What would you do if someone eats like that in front of you?

The flipper: Remember how he entered his den because that’s not a house for sure. His flow-y hair is properly shampooed and he knows it. He flaunts it well, to say the least.

The narcissist: You may have got the guy wrong. He is one of us who likes to check his face before taking a selfie. A little bit of self-musing can’t be that bad, right!

The fighter: Now that is a dhobi pachchad you should watch out for.

Padmavati will hit the screens on December 1, 2017.
