Actor Priyanka Chopra has a choc-a-bloc year ahead with upcoming film projects like Krrish 3 (with Hrithik Roshan) and Barfee (with Ranbir Kapoor), and her much-anticipated music album.
All this leaves her with no time for the small screen.
“Due to my films and music album, my schedule is choc-a-bloc till next year. So, no TV for me till then,” says the 29-year-old actor, who hosted the third season of reality TV show, Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2010.
Talking about her upcoming music album and her being touted as India’s answer to Shakira, PC says, “Please don’t put too much pressure by comparing me to Shakira. I just want my music to have an Indian stamp like Shakira’s music has the stamp of her country.”
Talking about her latest film, Teri Meri Kahaani, where she has played three characters from three time periods, 1910, 1960 and 2012, the actor says she found the experience challenging.
“The fact is that I love challenges and this film gave me the challenge on how I could portray three characters,” says Priyanka, who joined the Hindi film industry in 2003.
When asked if she is as romantic in real life as in her onscreen roles, PC says, “I am very romantic and believe love makes the world go around. One should never compromise in love.”
So, is marriage on the cards then?
“Ladka dhoond do. Achcha ladka hi nahi mil raha (find me a suitable boy to marry),” she rues.
Talking about Delhi, she says, “Delhi is home for me as I have family here. I also have close friends here.”
