Prateik Babbar who wowed the audience with his portrayal of Munna in Dhobi Ghat is now all set to star opposite Miss Teen World Amy Jackson in the remake of a Tamil film. Read on to know the details, reports Mid Day.
The 19-year-old beauty would star opposite Prateik in the Hindi remake of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Tamil blockbuster Vinnaithaadi Varuvaayaa. She has acted in South Indian films before.
Says Gautham, "We signed her on after seeing her Tamil film. We did a workshop with her to help with her Hindi diction. She has learnt all her dialogues." She has replaced Trisha, the Khatta Meetha actress, who acted in the Tamil film.
The director explains, "We went with Amy because we wanted a younger looking girl who works well with Prateik."
The film goes to the floor on April 4.
