Actor Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen doing some high octane action scenes in her upcoming action thriller Race 3. However, what looks like an easy - breezy task in the trailer required intense training for the actor even before the film went on floors.

Talking about her experience of doing action scenes, Jacqueline says, “ I was part of very big action centric films (Dishoom) in the past but this is the first time I have gone all out and done action with Race 3. Daisy (Shah) and I have a massive cat fight in the film and it’s actually one of the hardest action sequences I have ever done in my life. In the movie, Daisy actually hits me and while shooting she has kicked me hard many times.”

The director, Remo D’ Souza, was inclined towards getting the best action shots from Jacqueline, who started training for her scenes two months prior to the film’s commencement.

“Jacqueline will be quite a surprise in the movie. Her onscreen character, Jessica, is badass, performing daredevil action. In order to ace her action scenes, Jacqueline underwent more than 2 months of intensive training in mixed martial arts. The actress rigorously worked upon her flexibility and agility as her character was required to perform hand to hand combat,” says a source.

Jacqueline was aware that she has signed up to the challenge of hardcore action, in sync with the requirements of the Race franchise.

“Remo was keen to capture real instances while on set, every action sequence and thrill in the film is performed to perfection. Jacqueline was keen to deliver to her director’s vision and took it upon herself to dedicatedly practice and perform action without anybody double. Her brilliant takes would leave everyone on the sets spellbound,” adds the source.
