Rajeev Khandelwal is not chasing stardom
Actor Rajeev Khandelwal says he is not looking for stardom, but prefers to be known as someone who chooses quality content
Actor Rajeev Khandelwal is content with his place in the film industry, and while his contemporaries are reaching heights of stardom, he is in no hurry.
“The kind of stardom that my contemporaries like Varun (Dhawan) and Ranbir (Kapoor) have is a different kind of stardom which is beautiful but what I am seeking is that when tomorrow a fan decides to watch my film, he will know that it will be strong in content,” says Khandelwal, who recently featured in the action thriller, Fever.

The actor rose to popularity after playing the role of Sujal in the romantic show Kahiin To Hoga in 2003 and made his Bollywood debut with Aamir (2008).
“If I were chasing that stardom then I would have taken up one project which would have taken me in that direction. I left Kahiin To Hoga during the height of my popularity. If I would have been seeking glossy fame , I would have picked up a similar show on TV,” says the actor, who has been part of films such as Shaitan (2011), Soundtrack (2011) and Table no. 21 ( 2013).

When asked if he felt nervous about facing the camera after two long years, he says, “I have always been nervous about everything that I have done. I don’t remember one project when I was chilled about it and sat back without getting bothered about the kind of reception it will get.”
