Rani Mukerji kicks up a storm on Mardaani sets

Rani Mukerji is upping her game in her next, Mardaani. In pictures from the film's sets, she can be seen practicing for an action sequence with the crew. The actor plays a cop in the film.

The newly married Rani Mukerji, who recently made her first public appearance at an event, was spotted on the sets of her upcoming film. The shooting of the movie, which is produced by her husband, Aditya Chopra, is currently on at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai.

We’ve been told that these are the last few days of the shoot as the film is set to release in August. In the pictures, Rani, who plays a cop in the film, can be seen interacting with director Pradeep Sarkar (in the checked shirt) and also rehearsing for her action scenes.

Rani plays a cop in this film. To prepare for her role in Mardaani, Rani Mukherji reportedly met with Mumbai Police Crime Branch chief.

Her character in the film, Mardaani, is apparently based on a real-life lady police officer from Mumbai crime branch, who solved several child trafficking cases in the city. However, the film is shrouded in secrecy as the production house made people associated with it sign non-disclosure agreements.
