Black (2005)




No one can forget her role of a deaf and dumb girl in Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Black. Being considered one of her best performances, she went completely de-glam for the role. The movie won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi (2006) and helped her establish as one of the most talented beauties of the B-town.

No One Killed Jessica (2011)



Playing a television journalist, Rani refreshed the country’s memory about high profile murder of model Jessica Lall. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the movie saw the Paheli actor portraying a strong female journalist fighting for justice.







Hum Tum (2004)



In this film, Rani played the role of a girl who falls in love with a man (Saif Ali Khan) of exactly opposite nature. The movie won various awards, including a Filmfare Best Actress award for Rani Mukerji.







Saathiya (2002)



Rani essayed the role of Suhani Sharma which became very popular among the youth. The movie was a hit and Rani also bagged the Filmfare Best Actress Critics Award.
