Sporting a red blazer, Ranveer looks every bit a dashing dude he is. The film, 83, revolves around India’s unexpected World Cup win and how Kapil was one of its main architects. When the project was announced, many members of the said team were invited.

While others went back in time to recall those days, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, the swashbuckling batsman, was his candid best and shared with the audience how it was Kapil who instilled in the team the belief and will to win the World Cup. For Kabir too this project should be important, as his ambitious last film, Salman Khan-starrer Tubelight, proved to be dud at the box office. Meanwhile, Ranveer is at a career high after Padmaavat.

On Thursday too came the big news that he would play the lead role in Karan Johar’s directorial, Takht, which also boasts of a galaxy of other big names like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt. Other promising stars like Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and latest star kid in the firmament, Janhvi Kapoor too will feature in what is said to be an epic tale of love, war, betrayal, family and power, set in the Mughal era.

Meanwhile, Ranveer is also constantly in news over his rumoured wedding to Deepika Padukone, which is allegedly scheduled for the last part of 2018. As per reports, the duo might tie the knot is faraway Italy, at the lake town of Como, where many a Hollywood A-lister has a home.
