That director Rohit Shetty is attached to Goa is evident from the fact that he shoots most of his films in the coastal state. Now, we have come to know that Rohit and his team have discovered that Dona Paula (a neighbourhood in Panaji, Goa) shares a special connect with Rohit’s 2011 hit, Singham.

"Rohit and his team were recently shooting his Shah Rukh Khan-Varun Dhawan film in Goa. Some of his crew members were pleasantly surprised when they came across roadside stalls and eateries in Dona Paula with items on their menu named after the lead character. In fact, some of these restaurants had also put up posters and stills of the film on their hoardings and banners," says an insider.
In fact, they feasted on the Singham food items before informing Rohit about the same. "Initially, Rohit didn’t believe that his film was so popular. But after he saw the photographs of the stalls clicked by his team members, he asked them about the whereabouts of the stalls," adds the insider. However, due to his busy schedule, Rohit couldn’t personally visit the stalls.
"During the shoot, he used to straightaway go to his hotel room to brainstorm on the next days’ scenes, but he has decided that during his next visit to Goa, he will go to Dona Paula and visit these stalls personally," adds the insider. Rohit couldn’t be reached for a comment.
