Sajid Khan to do a cameo in Farah’s Happy New Year

Khan will essay the role of a director in his sister’s upcoming project

Film-maker Farah Khan, who is currently busy with her next directorial venture, Happy New Year (HNY), will begin the second schedule of her film today.

And now, apart from already having a big star cast comprising Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah, we’ve been told that her brother, actor-director Sajid Khan will also be part of the film.

Ask Farah about this and she confirms, saying, “Yes, Sajid will do a cameo. But what is fun is that he will play himself in the movie. He plays Sajid Khan, the director.” Previously, Sajid had made a special appearance in Farah’s debut directorial venture, Main Hoon Na (2004) as well. We’ve also been told that this schedule of HNY will be shot in the city. “We will be shooting the introductory scenes of every actor in the movie. It will be exciting as each introduction will be unique and fun. I’m looking forward to it,” says Farah, who has been slightly under the weather lately.

The film-maker recently wrapped up the first schedule of the movie in Dubai. HNY is expected to release around Diwali next year.
