Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s date with December

After his last hit, Bajirao Mastani, released in December, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next will also come out around the same time next year

Film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani, released on December 18 last year. The film came out alongside the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer, Dilwale (2015), and gave it stiff competition. Now, it seems like Bhansali has developed a special liking for that release period (the December weekend). We have come to know that the film-maker has now decided to release his next directorial venture on December 15 next year.

Although there has been a lot of speculation about his movie with regards to its cast and storyline, Bhansali has been tight-lipped about it. In fact, names like Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been doing the rounds, but nothing has been finalised yet. “This will be his biggest film till date. He is still working on its script and casting. He will make an announcement when he is ready,” says a source close to Bhansali.

Although Bhansali couldn’t be reached for a comment, in an earlier interview, he had said, “As far as my next film is concerned, I will only know what I am doing in a few weeks. As of now, I am putting things in order, as I only make films that come from my heart.”
