“Mahatma Gandhi’s first Satyagraha Movement was triggered when he was in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa. Prakash Jha’s film also revolves around a similar concept and so, the production house is showing support by marketing it to the fullest,” says a source.

And what could be better than taking the film back to the place where it all began? The screening is set to take place in a cinema hall in the capital city. The source further adds, “There’s a large Indian population in South Africa, so it makes sense to host a screening there. The team is currently working out the finer details of the plan.”

Satyagraha is set to release on August 23. The film boasts a powerful star cast which includes Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor.

The film is being shot extensively in Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh.

We tried contacting the production house and Jha, but both remained unavailable for comment.
