Aamir Khan is leaving no stone unturned to keep his forthcoming film Secret Superstar in the news. In fact, he has abandoned the shooting of director Vijay Krishan Acharya’s Thugs Of Hindostan to promote Secret Superstar.

The results of his efforts are visible now. The film’s music has started to create waves. With each new song, music composer Amit Trivedi is creating a noise among the viewers. The latest song, Nachdi Phira, is no different.

The song has started to attract listeners within minutes. Voiced by Meghna Mishra, the song is written by Kausar Munir.

The song is about the aspirations of a caged bird, a metaphor used for the film’s lead Zaira Wasim. She is playing a school-going teen from a conservative family who wants to make it big in the world of music. Aamir Khan is playing musician Shakti Kumar, a sort of mentor to Zaira Wasim in the film.

The song is mostly shot with Zaira recording inside a studio and living a dream inside her head. It also has visuals of her mother and some happy times.

Directed by Advait Chandan, Secret Superstar will hit the screens on October 19, 2017. It will be Aamir Khan’s first release since Dangal and thus eyes will be on him whether he can recreate the magic of Dangal or not.
