Model-turned-actor Lisa Haydon wants to play a strong-headed girl on screen, because she believes she can relate to such a character. “I would like to play a girl who has a brave soul and a character with a raw edge. I would like to work in serious cinema because I strike a chord with such roles. I am now looking for de-glam storylines,” she says.

Last seen in David Dhawan’s Rascals (2011), Lisa, 26, debuted with the 2010 release Aisha, where played the tiny part of an NRI businesswoman. “I’m not opposed to smaller roles either. I think you can showcase talent and character in them as well. I’m open to everything that is meaningful,” she says.

Now the actor will be seen on the small screen hosting the Hunt For the Kingfisher Calender Girl 2013. And being a Kingfisher Calendar Girl herself, she says the event is a great platform for anyone who wants to pave a career in modelling or Bollywood. “With the kind of media exposure a Kingfisher Calendar Girl gets, it’s definitely the best platform. It’s like a big break as every big producer, director or industrialist sees the calendar,” says Lisa.

Ask what qualities they are looking for in the winner, and Lisa says, “They have to be confident, beautiful and a good storyteller as well — someone who is an all round package.”
