Shraddha Kapoor to play Radha in Ram Lakhan remake?

Actor Shraddha Kapoor is most likely to be cast as Radha in the remake of 1989 film, Ram Lakhan. Actor Madhuri Dixit had played the role in the original.

Actor Shraddha Kapoor is most likely to be cast as Radha in the remake of 1989 film, Ram Lakhan. Actor Madhuri Dixit had played the role in the original.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who will be producing the movie, is keen on casting Shraddha as “he’s very impressed with her performance in (her latest) ABCD 2”, a Mumbai tabloid quoted a source as saying. Actor Alia Bhatt is also among the contenders. “Shraddha is riding high on her back-to-back successes and Alia is one of Karan’s favourites,” the source adds. The film will be directed by Rohit Shetty.

According to sources, Varun Dhawan will play Lakhan, originally played by Anil Kapoor, while Sidharth Malhotra will essay Jackie Shroff’s role. Both Varun and Sidharth made their debut with Karan’s Student Of The Year in 2012.

Earlier, it was said that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan will play Lakhan.
