Shriya Pilgaonkar learns sign language from Rani Mukerji’s trainer in Black
Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar took sign language training from Rani Mukerji’s trainer.
Actor Shriya Pilgaonkar who was impressed by actor Rani Mukerji’s performance in the film Black (2005), went to her trainer to learn sign language for her next film and is very happy with the experience.

Pilgaonkar, who played actor Shah Rukh Khan’s love interest in the Maneesh Sharma’s directorial Fan, says about her trainer Sangeeta Gala: “I have always loved languages; I have studied basic French and Japanese too. Learning sign language has always been on my bucket list and I am so happy I got the opportunity to learn it. I loved Rani’s performance and I was really excited about learning sign language from the same person who trained her.”

“Sangeeta’s journey is very inspiring. She is a fantastic teacher and I hope to continue learning from her,” she adds. Gala has also trained other actors such as Hrithik Roshan for his role as Ethan in the film Guzaarish (2010) and Ranbir Kapoor for his lead role in film Barfi! (2012). Pilgaonkar underwent training for a month for this project, is impressed by her trainer.
