"[I want to be part of] Something like Pulp Fiction (1994). In fact, I read a book a while ago, it’s called Gone Girl (by Gillian Flynn), so something like that would work too. I love Darren Aronofsky’s movies. So basically, [I want to do] something darker and edgier. My recent film is very bright and happy, and so is Sooraj ji’s (Barjatya, film-maker) next. So, I want to do something darker for sure," says the actor.

When asked if she has any film-maker in mind, with whom she would like to collaborate for such projects, the actor answers, "I loved Lootera (2013), and I think Vikram (Vikramaditya Motwane) is a really good director, so I would love to work with him. I loved Queen too. There are so many film-makers I would like to work with."

Diverting attention to the recently released film, Finding Fanny, we quizzed the actor about rumours that she was approached for it before Deepika Padukone. "I never discuss films that I’m not doing, so I would not like to comment on it," says Sonam, adding, "I think the film was really quirky and sweet. Homi (Adajania) is an amazing director, and everybody performed really well. It’s one of those films that I don’t know if everybody can watch, but I enjoyed it."
