Struggling actor Kritika Chaudhary found dead in Mumbai, murder suspected

The incident came to light at around 3:45 pm when actor Kritika Chaudhary’s neighbours complained of foul smell emanating from her flat and informed police.

Decomposed body of a woman in her early twenties was found in her room in Four Bungalows area of Andheri (west) on Monday afternoon.

The woman is an aspiring actor Kritika Chaudhary and has done small time roles in TV. The police have sent the body for a postmortem. The police suspect it to be a case of murder.

As her room was locked from the outside, the police suspect she was murdered. They broke open the lock after a neighbour complained of a foul smell from the room.

According to Amboli police, a resident of Bhairavnath SRA society in Four Bungalows area called the police control room and informed them about a stench from one of the locked rooms in their building.

A team rushed to the spot and the room was found locked from the outside. The police broke open the door and found the woman’s decomposed body. She has been identified as Kritika Chaudhary, an aspiring model and actress, She had come to Mumbai sometime back.

An autopsy was conducted at the Cooper hospital.

The police said it looked like a case of murder but said it can only be confirmed after her post mortem report arrived.
