Tanu Weds Manu Returns earns Rs 21.85 crore in two days
After a huge opening of Rs 8.75 crore on day one, the collections for Kangana Ranaut-Madhavan-starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns soared to Rs 13.10 crore on Saturday, making a rtotal of Rs 21.85 crore in two days in domestic markets alone.
Aanand L Rai's sequel to his 2011 hit film has critics raving about the performances of the lead pair, and Deepak Dobriyal, who plays the role of a sidekick. The film was made at an estimated budget of Rs 40 crore.The film also made an impressive collection in the international markets, earning a total of Rs 3.5 crore. It earned Rs 1.5 crore in the US, Rs 19.9 lakh in Australia, Rs 3.5 lakh in New Zealand and Rs 34 lakh in England on day one.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is about mismatch in a love marriage. Kangana essays a double role in the movie, reprising the role of Tanuja Trivedi as well as her look-alike Datto -- a Haryanvi student studying in the Delhi University. The film also stars Swara Bhaskar, Eijaz Khan and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.
