Vidya Balan hospitalised for suspected kidney stones
Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has been admitted to Khar Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai for a suspected kidney stone. Siddharth Roy Kapur brought the Kahaani star to the hospital on Tuesday after she suffered from shooting pain in her back while on board a flight taxiing for take-off, the statement added. The couple had planned to ring in the New Year and Vidya’s birthday at an undisclosed location abroad.
Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital for a suspected kidney stones.

“Vidya is currently in expert hands at Hinduja Hospital and is well on her way to recovery,” Vidya’s spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday.

The pain was severe and paramedics were called aboard following which Vidya and Siddharth were deplaned. She was taken to a clinic at the airport for examination, it said. “Vidya’s temperature had suddenly shot up for which she was treated. Soon after, they took a flight back to Mumbai. Upon return, Siddharth got her admitted to the Khar Hinduja Hospital. A few tests later, it seems like it could be a kidney stone,” the statement added.
