Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, who is currently enjoying the success of his film Kahaani, has rubbished rumours that he is making a film with actors Vidya Balan and Amitabh Bachchan. Reacting to the buzz that Vidya and Big B will play pivotal roles in the cinematic adaptation of writer Sunil Gangopadhyay’s Bengali novel, Aranyer Din Ratri, Ghosh says, “I am not making any film with Vidya or Amitabh Bachchan.

It’s like Chinese whispers! I had said that I would love to work with Vidya and Amit
ji
again, and I had also expressed my desire to do a film based on Aranyer Din Ratri. People just co-related it all!”
Ghosh, who first plans to “contemporarise” the story of the 60s novel without killing its spirit, says that he hasn’t even written the script for it, forget planning the cast. “Why would Vidya or Amitabh Bachchan agree to do a film without even reading the script?” he asks.
Ghosh has earlier worked with Big B in Aladin (2009), and recently roped him to sing the famous Tagore song, Ekla Cholo Re, in Kahaani.
