After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming Bollywood flick Padmavati faced constant opposition in the form of violence and threats from members of Rajput Karni Sena, actor Rajkummar Rao said violence is not an answer to anything as we come from Gandhi’s nation, where one can solve everything with non-violence.

The 33-year-old actor said, “I think they should sit and talk on the table. Violence is not an answer to anything. We come from Gandhi’s nation. We can solve everything with non-violence. So, I hope there will not be any more violence and it will get sorted very fast. I can just hope and pray.”

On the work front, the Behen Hogi Teri star is currently shooting for Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanne Khan, alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.

The movie Padmavati is the story of honour, valour and obsession. Queen Padmavati is known for her exceptional beauty, along with a strong sense of justice and is the wife of Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and pride of the Kingdom of Chittor, a prosperous kingdom in the north-west of India.

The film stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
