Manoj Bajpayee reportedley refused Anurag Kashyap's next because he was to play Richa Chaddha's dad in the film. Manoj and Richa have earlier played husband and wife in Anurag Kashyap's crime saga Gangs of Wasseypur.

let go of an opportunity to act with Richa Chadda again because he was offered the role of her father in Anurag Kashyap’s next; something he was not comfortable with.

A source close to the actor reveals that Manoj was keen to be part of the film, which is being directed by debutant Neeraj Ghaywan, but he opted out because of the nature of the role.

"Richa and Manoj played a married couple in their last film, and he didn’t want to play her father in the very next film they do together. Manoj was quite excited about the story, and the makers did try convincing him for the role, but he didn’t give his nod."

However, when contacted, Manoj said that it was not the role, but date issue that made him let go of the project. "I wanted to work with the director because he is very talented. I have seen his short films. He offered me the role, but because of a date clash, I couldn’t be part of the film," he says.
