Deepika Padukone, who will be seen playing Amitabh Bachhan's daughter in the upcoming comedy drama Piku recently got into a scuffle with the latter, and her other co-star Irrfan Khan. And no, this wasn't for a scene in film.
A source from the film's unit gives us the details. "The tiff was over the film's trailer, and of course it wasn't a real one. Deepika is extremely excited about the project so she wanted to give that slice-of-life touch even to the film's trailer. Recently during a brainstorming session with the film's director Shoojit Sircar, she floated the idea of introducing the trailer with a teaser that sees Mr Bachchan, Irrfan and herself in an argument, discussing whether the trailer is upto the mark or not," says the source. When contacted, Sircar confirmed the news saying, "Yes, Deepika happened to bounce this idea off and we loved it immediately. The team further worked on it and we are very excited to see the way it comes out finally." For the trailer launch, Shoojit Sircar, plans to take another unique path for the promotion of his film. He plans to circulate a video on a chat application and as well as online, will see Deepika asking parents of journalists and non-media people to meet the cast at the trailer launch of the film on March 25 at a Mumbai hotel.
