The book flounders so much that it looks like author Seema Seth’s first attempt at writing. The protagonist is Poo, a Bengali girl, who comes to Mumbai to make it big in Bollywood. But as fate would have it, things turn ugly and Poo falls prey to the big city’s hooligans.

The drama unfolds... and unfolds... till you feel you are reading a Hindi movie script with too many twists and turns, all of which sap the plot of its vitality.

A suggestion for the publishing house: get good book editors who do not make spelling errors like ‘knew’ instead of ‘new’ and ‘breadth’ instead of ‘breath’. If Seth must get into scriptwriting, maybe she should try a mix of Page 3 and Fashion.
