If Sunny had not already signed the contract with Penthouse magazine, she would have been cast in place of Bipasha Basubrunch Updated: Jul 12, 2017 18:03 IST
“If I was not there, there would be no Sunny Leone in Bollywood,” says Pooja Bhatt. During the course of the recent interview with HTBrunch, she revealed that she had in fact sent emailed Sunny Leone way back in 2002 after reading a story in India Today about her. “I thought she had a very pretty face. I was casting for Jism and wanted her for the role that eventually went to Bipasha Basu. But she had already signed the contract with Penthouse and had to give this a miss.
But her face stayed with her and 10 years later, when Pooja thought of doing Jism 2 that she went back to Sunny. “When I got back to her this time, she was an adult movie star and people told me it would be too controversial to take her in the movie. Two months later she was on Bigg Boss. So, if people can watch her on television in their homes, they can certainly watch her on big screen. That is when we signed her.”
