Indian equity indices opened in green on Thursday with BSE Sensex soaring over 200 points while the NSE Nifty reclaimed 11,200 level amid mixed cues from global markets over the economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.

At 9:23 am, the 30-share-index was up 264.74 points or 0.70% trading at 38,335.87 and the NSE barometer was 68.05 points or 0.61% higher 11,270.90.
TCS, HCL and Asian Paints were among the top gainers on Sensex, while Sun Pharma and IndusInd Bank were lagging.
On the 50-share-index, Wipro was leading in early trade whereas Indian Oil Corporation and BPCL were among laggards.
In the previous session on Wednesday, BSE Sensex settled 1.1% lower at 38,071.13 and the NSE Nifty 50 index was down 0.86% to close at 11,202.85.
