NEW DELHI: Food Regulator FSSAI has joined hands with the Advertising Standard Council of India (ASCI), the self-regulatory body for the ad industry, to check misleading campaigns for food and beverages. The advertising watchdog will monitor these ads and has been given the right to process complaints. It will also get complaints redirected by the FSSAI. “We are delighted that our self-regulatory process is getting recognition from government bodies,” said ASCI chairman Benoy Roychowdhury.
