The Air India reintroduced the Madurai-Mumbai-Madurai flight via Chennai from Saturday.
With this the total number of flights from Madurai to Chennai from here rose to eight, an AI press release said.
The flight would take off from here at 2 pm and arrive in Chennai at 3 pm. It would depart Chennai at 3.45 pm to reach Mumbai at 5.35 pm.
However, on Saturday, the flight departed Madurai at 3.45 pm.
