Affordable housing: Developers need to price projects affordably to stay afloat till the market recovers. Small, better-designed, more efficient homes with right pricing will be in very much in demand in 2016

End users’ dominance: Like 2015, 2016 will also witness end-users dominating the residential realty sector. It is expected that investors will appear on the scene only by the end of this year or the beginning of next year

Demand for value-for-money units: With right pricing, the most important factor which will attract more and more homebuyers in 2016 is value-for-money-units in attractive locations such as New Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida (West), Faridabad and sectors along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway

Timely delivery is critical: Homebuyers will give preference to developers who have a track record of timely delivery. Many developers are thus expected to prioritise timely completion and delivery of projects

Regulatory relief: The real estate regulatory bill is ready to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha next year. If by any chance the bill becomes an Act in 2016, homebuyers can expect huge relief as it defaulting developers will be brought to task
