"He has had a mix of international exposure and a strong Indian company culture, which should stand him in very good stead in the future," said Harsh Goenka, chairman RPG Group.

"I believe in training the next generation from their young age — by imparting a strong foundation, culture and value systems," said Harsh Goenka. "A lot of learning happens at the family table when businesses are discussed. Ultimately, one has to make them into good human beings with a strong moral fibre."

Anant is now the deputy-managing director of Ceat after undergoing international stints at Morgan Stanley, Accenture and at Hindustan Unilever.

While Anant is growing in ranks, his younger brother Shashwat is doing his undergraduate studies at Wharton.
