India to sell Rs. 100 bn of govt bonds on Sept 6: RBI

India will sell Rs. 100 billion of government bonds on September 6 as the size of the government debt sale has been reduced by Rs. 50 billion this week in view of the prevailing market conditions, RBI said in a statement today.

India will sell 100 billion rupees ($1.51 billion) of government bonds on Sept. 6, the Reserve Bank of India said in a statement on Monday.

The size of the government debt sale has been reduced by Rs. 50 billion this week in view of the prevailing market conditions, RBI said in an announcement after market hours.

India will sell Rs. 30 billion of 8.12 % 2020 bonds and Rs. 70 billion of 8.28 % 2027 bonds. ($1 = Rs. 66.0700)
