ITC Welcomgroup wins Hewitt Best Employer award
ITC Welcomgroup, the flagship hotels division of the ITC Ltd, won the 'Best Employer in Asia' award in the hospitality sector given by global human resources consulting firm Hong Kong-Hewitt Associates.
ITC Welcomgroup, the flagship hotels division of the ITC Ltd, won the 'Best Employer in Asia' award in the hospitality sector given by global human resources consulting firm Hong Kong-Hewitt Associates.
The award was based on a study conducted across eight markets in the Asia-Pacific region by Hewitt in association with media groups Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones, ITC Welcomgroup said in a statement. "This award is recognition of ITC's commitment in crafting a unique strategy of organisation that believes in the entrepreneurial energies of ITC's high quality human resources," ITC Ltd Hotel Division Chief Executive Nakul Anand said.
The award was based upon study of three factors, including execution of programmes, empowerment of managers and efficient human resources functions, it said.
Among the five hotels in Asia Pacific region mentioned in the list, only ITC Welcomgroup has received the award for its entire hotel chain, while the other four hotels have found mention as single hotels, the statement added.
