Mphasis Q1 net up 28 pc to Rs 268 cr

Total income rose to Rs 1,191.56 crore for the first quarter ended January 31, from Rs 977 crore in the same period previous fiscal, Mphasis Ltd said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

On the stand-alone basis, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 238.52 crore for the first quarter, up 27.29 per cent in the same period last year.

This quarter the group recorded a net headcount increase of 2,166 to take the total employee number to 35,690, the filing added.

Shares of Mphasis Ltd today closed at Rs 735.30 on the BSE, down 0.72 per cent from previous close.
