
RBI says inflation contained
Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan says inflation has been contained and high investment growth is taking place.

Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Rakesh Mohan said on Thursday inflation has been contained and high investment growth was taking place.
"High investment growth is taking place which is promising for the future. We continue to have a healthy external account and inflation has been contained," Mohan told reporters after a central bank board meeting in Lucknow.
Latest data showed India's wholesale price index rose 3.93 per cent in the 12 months to Jan. 19, higher than the previous week's rise of 3.83 per cent.
